This tournament, which was moved from Hanabatake Hiroba to 'Tatsunomori Gymnasium' due to court conditions affected by rain, featured intense competition among 12 top-level teams gathered from across the country. Despite the venue change being announced the day before, many spectators visited both days, creating a bustling atmosphere with standing room only, and the live stream attracted a large audience.

RBL SEASON1, where teams vie for a chance to challenge the world, is heading into its climax.

'RBL (ROYAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE)' is a new professional league for 3x3 (three-on-three) basketball. Led by Commissioner Dr. Rohit Bakshi, a former professional basketball player with extensive experience and knowledge in 3x3, the 'RBL,' Japan's first international 3x3 professional basketball league, was established.

The 'KUMAMOTO Round,' Round 4 of RBL SEASON1, which is nearing the end of its season, saw fierce battles from the preliminary league, with teams competing seriously to earn crucial points.

Uenohara Sunrise Wins After Advancing Through Fierce Preliminary League & Finals Tournament!

On July 4 (Sat.), the first day of the 'KUMAMOTO Round,' despite the venue change announced the previous day, the preliminary league was held with all 12 teams competing in front of a large crowd. At Tatsunomori Gymnasium, where basketball fans and families gathered, each team fought fiercely for a spot in the finals tournament. After 12 intense matches, the top 8 teams advanced to the finals tournament.

Aerial battles to decide victory, tense matchups, determined shots

On July 5 (Sun.), the second day of the tournament, the finals tournament was held with the 8 teams that advanced from the preliminary league. Uenohara Sunrise and Shibuya Tokyo Dime advanced to the finals after hard-fought battles.

Attention was focused on Uenohara Sunrise, who had won consecutive rounds, but Shibuya Tokyo Dime took the lead in the early stages of the final. Uenohara Sunrise came back in the middle of the game, leading to a back-and-forth contest with rapid changes in offense and defense. Shibuya Tokyo Dime eventually tied the score, bringing the tension in the venue to its peak.

In the latter half, Uenohara Sunrise steadily scored crucial points, defeating Shibuya Tokyo Dime with a final score of 20-15 to win the 'KUMAMOTO Round.' This marked their third consecutive victory, a remarkable achievement.

Additionally, Shonan Seaside secured third place based on overall standings. Furthermore, Petar Šućur of Uenohara Sunrise, who showed outstanding performance throughout the tournament, was awarded the MVP.
