Tokyo-based brand UNDONE is pleased to announce a special collaboration with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team and the TV anime 'Dandadan'. Please look forward to the new value creation that will emerge from the synergy of their respective individualities. This project is the first initiative to本格的に fuse an F1 team with a TV anime. It will not be limited to a single product but will be developed as a diverse merchandise collection that includes watches.

About the Collaboration

UNDONE has always focused on creating products that give form to the perspectives of individual fans, centered on small-batch production and customization. Watches are a flagship product, but they are not the only thing the brand has aimed for.

In this project, following the collaboration between the Williams F1 Team and the TV anime 'Dandadan', UNDONE will take the lead in planning and conception, with plans to release items across multiple categories in addition to watches. This comprehensive merchandise collection aims for an unprecedented crossover.

Detailed product information will be released sequentially as the sales launch approaches.

How the Collaboration Came to Be

In July 2025, UNDONE signed an official partnership agreement with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team. At the British Grand Prix, they announced two models, the 'FW47' and the 'Carbono'. The FW47 reflects the actual design philosophy of the car, while the Carbono features specifications that allow fans to customize the driver number and helmet design. This product development from the F1 fan's perspective garnered much attention.

However, for UNDONE, this was not the 'destination' but the 'starting point'.

UNDONE founder, Robert Tran, says:

'I never intended for the contract with Williams to end as just a licensing deal. I wanted to create something unprecedented that truly reflected the fans' perspective. By moving our base to Japan, I saw the possibility of connecting F1 and Japanese anime IP. It's not an easy path, but that's precisely why I thought it was worth the challenge.'

The precision and tradition of F1, and the wild energy of the TV anime 'Dandadan'.

We will give shape to these two fascinating and unique worlds in a merchandise collection. This is a new endeavor where different cultures intersect. Details such as the sales schedule will be announced in due course.

Comments

Robert Tran, UNDONE Founder
'If you look at F1 fans and anime fans, you'll find common ground. A respect for craftsmanship, overflowing enthusiasm, and a strong admiration for those who go all out. The overlap between F1 and anime is no longer a coincidence; it's a trend of an era. UNDONE will give form to that intersection. We will shape things that don't logically connect into a form that makes you feel 'this is it' the moment you hold it in your hands.'

Luke Timmis, Head of Licensing, Atlassian Williams F1 Team
'For many fans, merchandise is the first real opportunity to connect with a brand. That's why we place great importance on creating engaging touchpoints that tell people 'who we are' and invite them to join us on our journey. This collaboration is another exciting step forward in that mission. We look forward to bringing the appeal of Williams to 'Dandadan' fans in Japan and around the world.'

Hiroshi Kamei, Producer, TV Anime 'Dandadan'
'I am extremely pleased to have this wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the prestigious Williams Racing. A first-time initiative is always exciting, and I have great expectations for the new world that will unfold. Through this collaboration, I hope to share the charm and worldview of the TV anime 'Dandadan' with Williams fans and deliver an experience where they can enjoy the work more closely and in a new way. I hope you will look forward to it.'
