This size accommodates approximately 18 to 36 standard-sized cardboard boxes, roughly equivalent to the space of a closet. Ideal for storing off-season clothing, bedding, appliances, suitcases, and more.

2 to 3 tatami mats

This size accommodates approximately 72 to 144 standard-sized cardboard boxes, offering a significantly larger space. Suitable for storing large furniture and appliances such as washing machines and bicycles, as well as office supplies and inventory.

About the Trunk Room "Spelab"

Spelab operates over 700 stores and more than 22,000 indoor trunk rooms (rental storage spaces) primarily in Tokyo and Osaka.

Despite rising real estate prices, living spaces in urban areas remain limited, leading to increasingly compact housing. Yet, people still need to keep cherished items such as hobby equipment, seasonal clothing, and holiday decorations like Hina dolls and Christmas trees that hold precious memories.

To address these unique urban challenges, Spelab was created.

Additionally, by renovating properties that have remained vacant for long periods into trunk room facilities, we aim to contribute to solving the social issue of vacant homes, which is estimated to exceed 800,000 units.

Feature 1: Fully Contactless Viewing, Contracting, and Cancellation

Spelab allows completely non-face-to-face viewing (by reservation), and both contract signing and cancellation can be completed online.

To meet the demand for contactless, non-face-to-face services in the post-pandemic era, we have designed our service based on customer feedback, enabling full online application.

※ No need to receive physical keys, as we use smart locks and dial keys.

Feature 2: Ready for Use in as Little as 1 Hour After Application

Busy professionals in urban areas often face sudden transfers, overseas assignments, or business trips, requiring immediate storage solutions.

To meet such needs, we have streamlined the application and contracting process, allowing immediate use once the online contract and credit card payment are completed. Since we use smart locks and dial keys instead of physical keys, there's no need for key collection.

Feature 3: Reliable Double Security and Surveillance System

Trunk rooms are places where customers entrust their valuable belongings.

Each unit is private and secured with locks on both the entrance and individual rooms, ensuring a safe double-lock system.

Additionally, surveillance cameras are installed in the corridors inside the trunk room facility.

※ To date, there have been no incidents of theft or similar issues.

Feature 4: Newly Built and Clean Stores

Most of our stores have been open for less than a year, with partitions and interiors entirely newly constructed.

We conduct regular cleaning to maintain a clean environment throughout the facility.

Air conditioning is fully equipped, ensuring proper humidity control and a comfortable storage environment.
