“Charity Weekend” to deepen bonds with beloved dogs and support rescue dogs held at Tani Daikanyama store

Tani Japan Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "Tani") and SmileSmile1 Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "SmileSmile1"), which develops the natural pet oral care gel "LuPETto," will jointly hold a "Charity Weekend" at the Tani Daikanyama store (Sarugakucho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) for two days on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2026, with the cooperation of the Specified Non-profit Organization Dog Shelter.

This event is a participatory program that allows participants to deepen their bond with their beloved dogs while contributing to the support of rescue dogs. The first day will feature a dog massage & oral care workshop by a professional therapist, and the second day will host an adoption fair where participants can meet rescue dogs waiting for new families. A portion of the participation fees and sales of eligible products during the event period will be fully donated to Dog Shelter.

■ Background

In recent years, while the number of households living with pets as family members has increased, opportunities for adopting rescue dogs and for pet owners to learn correct knowledge for maintaining their dogs' health are still insufficient. Tani and SmileSmile1 have jointly launched this project with the aim of focusing on the two pillars of canine health – "home care as communication" and "oral health" – to provide practical care that owners can incorporate into their daily lives, and to help as many rescue dogs as possible find warm homes.

【DAY 1】Charity Massage & Oral Care Workshop

Date: Saturday, May 23, 2026, Part 1: 12:00-13:00 / Part 2: 15:00-16:00

Participation Fee: 5,000 yen per pair (1 person + 1 dog) *All proceeds will be donated to Dog Shelter.

Capacity: Limited to 3 pairs per session / All dog breeds and sizes welcome

Content: Massage instruction by Francesca Ravarone, a US Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse (CCRVN), supporting blood circulation, flexibility improvement, and physical and mental health. Additionally, an opportunity to try "LuPETto," a natural oral care gel developed by Yasuyo Mikami, a Doctor of Dental Surgery and oral care specialist.

【DAY 2】Rescue Dog Adoption Fair

Date: Sunday, May 24, 2026, 12:00-15:00 / Participation Fee: Free (No reservation required)

Content: Dogs waiting for new families from Dog Shelter will visit. The event provides an opportunity to meet a partner suitable for one's lifestyle through direct interaction.

【Charity Shopping】20% of sales donated

During the period, 20% of sales of Tani and LuPETto products at the Tani Daikanyama store will be donated to Dog Shelter. Anyone can easily participate in supporting rescue dogs through shopping.
