RATEL Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Satsuki Yoshimoto) and the GGL Management Committee, which operate the esports community "GGL (Good Game Lovers)," are pleased to announce that the community has surpassed "300 total tournaments held."
Since its inception in 2019, under the philosophy of "More fun, more skilled. A place to master games," GGL has continuously organized tournaments and events in collaboration with various game titles and communities.
Accumulated through over 300 tournaments, GGL boasts an unparalleled level of enthusiasm. As of April 2026, the total number of entries has exceeded 28,406, and GGL's tournament broadcasts and related videos have been viewed over 2 million times annually, growing into a core and highly passionate ecosystem. We are proud that this figure of "300 tournaments" is proof of player satisfaction that makes them want to participate repeatedly, and a sustainable operational system that supports it.
GGL has designed tournaments tailored to the context of various communities across a wide range of genres, from hardcore PC titles to casual mobile games, and even virtual cycling and location-based games, to ensure that gamers of all levels can enjoy themselves.
To date, GGL has created communities and held tournaments for the following competitive game titles:
- Apex Legends - Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Call of Duty: Mobile - Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile - GeoGuessr - League of Legends - PARAVOX - Rainbow Six Siege - THE FINALS - VALORANT - Zwift
Matching the characteristics of each title, GGL offers a variety of events that boost player motivation, from skill-based category tournaments like "Diamond Custom (Apex Legends)" and "GGL PLEADES (Call of Duty: Mobile)" for casual enjoyment, to continuously held series projects.
In terms of out-of-game aspects, GGL operates a passionate grassroots ecosystem while preserving the worldview of each game title's important IP. This includes accurate match record management using official APIs, unique productions using in-house developed streaming technology and systems, and the establishment of a transparent operational system to avoid the risks of flaming and cheating, all while coexisting with the community's unique characteristics.
GGL believes that continuous activity from many communities is essential to maintain the excitement of gaming and increase player retention.
One of GGL's next milestones is to exceed "500 tournaments held" and "30,000 total entries."
Another is the realization of the "GGL LAN Party" concept, which aims to elevate the enthusiasm cultivated online into a physical space.
This concept is an offline event specifically for communities, where diverse game title communities that GGL has supported will gather in one place. From hardcore FPS players to mobile gamers and even virtual cyclists, players with different titles and cultures will share their passion in the same space, transcending genre boundaries. Building such a crossroads for communities is one of the dreams of the GGL management, who have continuously supported a wide range of genres.
"More fun, more skilled. A place to master games." By extending this philosophy into a physical space, GGL aims to continue painting a new landscape for the gaming community.
