Cirque du Soleil 'Auana' artists conduct a special class at Shibuya Girls International School!

Shibuya Girls International School, which teaches next-generation skills such as English conversation, video production, and SNS management, hosted artists from Cirque du Soleil's latest permanent show in Waikiki, Hawaii, 'Auana,' for a special class on May 28, 2026. This visit was part of the artists' cultural exchange activities during their visit to Japan for 'Aloha Tokyo' in Ebisu. The artists chose the school due to its focus on next-generation skill education. Four artists, including a skating duo performing 'Naupaka' and two hula dancers, appeared before the students. 'Naupaka' depicts a Hawaiian legend of tragic love, performed with breathtaking acrobatics on a small skating platform. The hula performance vividly conveyed the nature and culture of Hawaii. A unique aspect of the program was the interactive session on how global artists utilize social media. Students realized that what they learn daily is connected to the global forefront of the industry. The school is a correspondence support school where students can acquire a high school diploma while learning practical skills.
