MJOLNIR SPACEWORKS (Headquarters: Sapporo; CEO: Kazuo Yonekura), a company aiming for the mass production of hybrid rocket engines and space components, has raised up to 1.7 billion yen in its Series B round through a combination of third-party allotment of shares and a loan facility agreement. The funds will be used to accelerate the R&D of safe, low-cost hybrid rocket engine systems and high-performance space tanks, as well as to strengthen the recruitment of specialized talent. Investors include Incubate Fund, Space Frontier Fund No. 2, JIC Venture Growth Investments, and Z Venture Capital, with the loan provided by The Shoko Chukin Bank. The company aims to contribute to the construction of the space industry supply chain with the mission of 'aiming to be world number one again through the mass production of rockets.'
