■ Global activities expected from Ko Sahara and DICT's academic collaboration
Ko Sahara, who studied at Japan's and the world's top institutions, including Tokyo College of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School, and Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP) First and Second Cycles in composition, and as a composer researcher at IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique) in France in 2019, has already expanded his activities both domestically and internationally, with further leaps expected in the future.
DICT has already begun collaborations with several universities, including Osaka University Graduate School, Osaka University Hospital, Kobe University Graduate School, and Hosei University Business School, where its founder Shinya Yamamoto serves as a visiting professor, guest professor, and part-time lecturer. This January, an intensive practical course on 'Global Business Management' was opened and conducted as a DICT endowed course at the Hosei University Business School's Graduate School of Innovation Management. After studying composition at Tokyo College of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School, and Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP) First and Second Cycles, he became a composer researcher at IRCAM in France in 2019. He received the 29th JACM Composition Newcomer Award Togashi Prize and was selected for the 82nd Japan Music Competition. His works are performed in various Asian and European countries by organizations such as Ensemble Intercontemporain, Art Respirant, and Ensemble IJ Space. Some of his works are published by BabelScores in France. He is affiliated with DICT Agency.
During his time in France, he began performing the electroacoustic parts in works written for instrumental and electroacoustic music.
