The music community "DICT Music DAO Classics" (operated by Virgo Inc.), which originated from "DICT" (a social experiment community for co-creation innovation using Web 3.0 / DAO, operated by Link & Innovation Inc.), aims to foster a new classical music culture by supporting the self-driven activities of musicians with its unique copyright management system and work utilization mechanisms. The community has announced "DMDc Project 002," which involves 5 composers and 6 performers, and has launched a crowdfunding campaign on "For Good," a crowdfunding platform specializing in social good, starting April 12th to raise funds for its production.

■ "DICT Music DAO Classics" Music Community Founded in November 2025

"DICT Music DAO Classics" (Dict Music Dao Classics), which announced the new project "DMDc Project 002," was founded in November 2025 with the aim of fostering a better environment for composers and performers and establishing a new classical music culture.

To date, this framework has seen popular drama score composers such as Michiru Oshima, Kosuke Yamashita, Rei Ishizuka, and Kenta Higashio take the lead, creating approximately 50 songs and contributing to the expansion of performers' repertoires.

■ Supporting the Self-Driven Activities of Musicians with a Unique Copyright Management System and Work Utilization Mechanism

"DICT Music DAO Classics" believes that musicians' curiosity, or intrinsic motivation, is the driving force behind creating innovative works. Therefore, the basic principle is a free creation system where composers are not given deadlines or directional instructions. Furthermore, to ensure that these compositions stimulate performers' curiosity and become works passed down to the future, they are liberating certain copyright sub-rights, such as "performance rights" (the right to perform at concerts and events), to community members. Through a community-driven mechanism where rewards are granted based on contribution, they aim to create a fertile ground for fostering a new classical music culture where the creation and performance (utilization) of music circulate correctly. This initiative also supports performers' self-driven activities by broadening their repertoire and creating opportunities for recording, release, and performance.

This community (and its parent music publisher) employs a hybrid copyright management system, self-managing certain copyright sub-rights like performance rights, while entrusting many other copyright sub-rights to the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC). ■ "DMDc Project 002" Involving 5 Composers and 6 Performers

The "DMDc Project 002" announced this time involves 5 composers who will newly write 18 songs. Together with 20 existing songs, a total of approximately 40 songs are planned to be recorded by 6 performers and released digitally. As mentioned earlier, this community is based on "free creation," but composers are asked to compose with "songs that listeners and performers can intuitively enjoy" in mind, and many wonderful compositions that are likely to move listeners' emotions have already been created. Information on the participating artists will be announced at a later date.

■ Premiere Concert and Reception Planned for August 22nd

As a venue to premiere the new songs created through this project (world premiere), a joint concert by 4 performers is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the "Harmonia" showroom on the 1st floor of Sunphonix Inc. (Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture) (start time to be confirmed). A reception will also be held at the same venue after the performance. ■ Reason for Seeking Support Through Crowdfunding

We have produced and released approximately 50 works to date and have held concerts at the Tokyo University of the Arts TCM Hall with the cooperation of our sponsors. In the future, we plan to create a sustainable cycle of content production through community membership fees and revenue generated from the music content we produce. However, as this is a newly established community with few members, we are currently covering the costs of recording studios and music production with our own funds.

In 2026, we aim to support more performers' debuts and create more new songs than in the past year. This crowdfunding project, as mentioned, plans to record (record) and digitally release 18 new songs by 5 composers and 20 existing songs by 6 performers, and hold a concert featuring 4 of these performers.

To make this activity sustainable, we are seeking financial support for our activities, and we believe it is important for as many people as possible to learn about and participate in this project. Therefore, we have decided to conduct this crowdfunding campaign.

Through this project, we hope to pave the way for the future of as many musicians as possible, and together with you, create a music culture where the content we produce moves people's emotions and the works are performed by musicians even 100 years from now.
