Background: Inefficient Legal Research Has Long Been a Challenge in Legal Practice

Legal research—searching statutes, case law, and legal literature—is a fundamental task in legal practice. From large law firms handling international transactions, M&A, and intellectual property, to solo practitioners managing local, civil, and family law cases, demand for sophisticated, cross-disciplinary legal research remains high. However, the need to consult multiple databases and printed materials has long been a significant burden and persistent challenge in legal work.

To address this issue, Legalscape launched its AI-powered legal research platform "Legalscape" in June 2021, creating a unified environment for searching and accessing statutes, case law, books, and guidelines.
