Tech Mentor | PM Upper Stream Course

if Inc. (Nakano-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "the company") operates the online programming school "Tech Mentor," which offers the 3-month 'PM Upper Stream Course' as an approved program under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's (METI) 'Career Advancement Support Program through Reskilling.' This course enables participants to learn practically—from requirements definition and design to project management and AI utilization—under individual support from active PM mentors, while aiming for career advancement with up to 70% tuition subsidy.

Why Project Management (PM) Skills Are in Demand Now

With the rapid spread of AI, many tasks are being automated and streamlined. At the same time, the importance of project management (PM), which requires 'human thinking,' is increasing.

AI excels at processing tasks, but 'management'—organizing requirements, leading teams, and driving projects forward—cannot be replaced by AI. In fact, PMs who can effectively lead teams while leveraging AI are the most sought-after professionals in today's era.

Moreover, PM roles require a broad range of skills, including technical knowledge, management ability, communication, and AI literacy. As a result, job-ready PM talent is chronically in short supply. PMs in their 20s earn annual salaries in the ¥5 million range, and those in their 30s earn in the ¥6 million range—levels comparable to or higher than engineers. It is also an ideal long-term career path.
