Overview
HOLY Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yusuke Horikoshi) has equipped "Ledra," its SaaS platform that proves the quality and reliability of automotive construction with AI and blockchain, with a new AI feature that automates the recording and evidence generation at construction sites.
Construction shops can simply proceed with their work as usual, and the details will be retained as tamper-detectable records that can be independently verified by third parties later. This automates the process of "leaving evidence," which has previously been time-consuming at the site, without interrupting work.
Background: The More Meticulous the Work, the Fewer "Means of Proof"
In the automotive aftermarket, there has been a lack of means to independently verify "when, who, what, and how" work was done on a vehicle later on. This has created a structure where meticulous work is less likely to be fairly evaluated.
This is a classic problem of information asymmetry (the so-called "lemons market" in economics), where quality is not conveyed to buyers and not reflected in prices. Ledra aims to solve this "unverifiability" from the entry point of the construction site.
New Feature: AI Workflow Automation
Previously, recording and generating evidence of construction work required considerable effort at the site. With the new feature, AI automatically handles this entire process. Construction shops do not need to stop working; they can simply continue their work as usual, and the details will be recorded as verifiable records.
This creates value for each stakeholder:
Construction Shops: Can leave "evidence" of their meticulous work without additional effort.
Customers: Can check what was done to their car via LINE upon delivery.
Insurance Companies/Distributors: Can refer to verifiable records as a basis for their decisions.
The design philosophy is not to say, "Please trust Ledra." Once a record is finalized, any attempt to rewrite it later will inevitably lead to discrepancies. Instead of "enclosing" data in a centralized database, the record itself speaks to its own correctness – and this is achieved without interrupting on-site work.
Representative's Comment
"Trust in the automotive industry has long been built on a series of 'maybes.' We want to turn those 'maybes' into 'facts' that anyone can verify later. This new AI feature is a system that transforms the truth of construction into records without interrupting the work on site at all."
— Yusuke Horikoshi, Representative Director, HOLY Inc.
Future Development
Ledra aims to foster "verifiable data" generated at construction sites into an "industry common language" referenced by insurance companies, used car distributors, and owners. The more verifiable facts there are, the more quality cars and work will be fairly evaluated. We will solve the market inefficiencies caused by information asymmetry from the entry point of the site.
