HIROTSU BioScience Joins the New Economy Federation

HIROTSU BioScience Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hirotsu Takaaki; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which researches and develops inspection technologies utilizing the abilities of living organisms, is pleased to announce its recent membership in the General Incorporated Association New Economy Federation.

Through research and development, including "N-NOSE," a cancer risk test that leverages the superior sense of smell of nematodes, the Company aims to realize a society where people are interested in their own health status, leading to appropriate examinations and medical check-ups.

In Japan, while medical technology advancements have expanded treatment options, many social issues remain, such as improving the participation rate in health check-ups and cancer screenings, and fostering health awareness. The Company has been working to create a society where people are prompted to learn about their health status and seek appropriate examinations or medical institutions when necessary, by focusing its research and development on the excellent sense of smell of the nematode C. elegans.

To solve these social issues, we believe that collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including industry, government, and academia, is essential, not just efforts by individual companies.
