Tokyo Tonkatsu Gavuu, Selected as 'Top 100' in Just 10 Months, to Open 2nd Branch in Jingumae Late July

GAVRIFOOD Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasuhiro Onuma), operator of 'Tokyo Tonkatsu Gavuu,' celebrated the 1st anniversary of its flagship store today, Saturday, April 25, 2026. Thanks to loyal customers, the restaurant achieved the record-breaking feat of being selected for the 'Tabelog Tonkatsu Top 100 Shops 2026' in just about 10 months since its debut. Building on this success, a second location will open in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, in late July 2026. For the new store's dinner service, we will introduce a 'complete reservation-based tonkatsu course,' aiming to explore the new possibilities of tonkatsu and provide an ultimate dining experience. *Lunch will continue to serve the standard tonkatsu set meals, similar to the first shop.

Since opening our first shop in Ueno on April 25, 2025, we have been blessed with many guests. By pursuing cooking methods that maximize the potential of selected brand pork and creating a comfortable space, we were selected for the Top 100 list in an exceptionally short period. On this 1st anniversary milestone, we express our deep gratitude to all our customers and stakeholders.

Through daily operations at our first shop, a question arose: 'Can we elevate tonkatsu, a wonderful Japanese daily staple, into an even more special dining experience?' We want guests to enjoy various parts of high-quality pork cooked at the optimal temperature and time, served at the perfect moment in the most delicious way. To realize this, we decided on the 'complete reservation course meal' style for our second shop's dinner. We will expand the concept of tonkatsu, offering a dining experience that feels like a story from appetizers to main and dessert.

The new branch will be located on the 6th floor of 'Shibuhara XROSS,' a newly constructed building along Meiji-dori, just a 1-minute walk from Meiji-jingumae Station. We will propose a new form of tonkatsu in a space overlooking the sophisticated streets of Jingumae. Opening is scheduled for late July 2026. Details on the menu and reservation start dates will be announced at a later date.
