Tokyo Tonkatsu Gavuu, Fastest to "Hyakumeiten" in 10 Months, to Open 2nd Store in Jingumae in Late July

GAVRIFOOD Inc. (Headquarters: Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yasuhiro Onuma) operates "Tokyo Tonkatsu Gavuu," which today, April 25, 2026, celebrates its first anniversary since the opening of its first store.
Thanks to your patronage, we received the fastest selection award in "Tabelog Tonkatsu Hyakumeiten 2026." Based on this achievement, as our next challenge, we will open our second store in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, in late July 2026. The new store will offer a "reservation-only tonkatsu course meal" during dinner, delivering new possibilities and a blissful dining experience for tonkatsu.
*Lunchtime at the new store will also offer tonkatsu set meals, similar to the first store.

Gratitude for the 1st Anniversary and the Journey to the Fastest Selection for "Hyakumeiten"

Since the opening of the Ueno first store on April 25, 2025, countless customers have visited us. As a result of pursuing cooking methods that maximize the potential of carefully selected brand-name pork and creating a comfortable space, we were selected for "Tabelog Tonkatsu Hyakumeiten 2026" with the unprecedented speed of just about 10 months since opening. On this occasion of our 1st anniversary, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our customers and stakeholders once again.

Why Challenge "Course Meals" Now?

Through daily operations at the first store, a question arose within us: "Can we elevate tonkatsu, a wonderful Japanese everyday dish, into an even more special dining experience?" We want our customers to savor various cuts of high-quality pork, each cooked at the optimal temperature and time, enjoying the most delicious moments and the best way to eat it. To realize this vision, the second store's dinner time will adopt a "reservation-only course meal" style. We aim to expand the concept of tonkatsu, offering a dining experience where customers can enjoy a story from appetizers to main dishes and desserts.

The 2nd store will open in "Shibuhara XROSS," a new building along Meiji-dori, 1 minute walk from Meiji-jingumae Station

The new store will open on the 6th floor of "Shibuhara XROSS," a new building conveniently located one minute walk from Tokyo Metro "Meiji-jingumae (Harajuku)" Station. We will propose a new form of tonkatsu in a space overlooking the sophisticated cityscape of Jingumae. The opening is scheduled for late July 2026. Details on the menu composition and reservation start dates will be announced again at a later date.
