Hojokin Flash Survey: For SMEs considering IT adoption, software subsidies can also cover hardware costs

The "Hojokin Flash" service, which provides AI-powered search and application support for subsidies and grants across Japan, has analyzed 498 programs that include software and system purchase costs as eligible expenses. While many businesses assume that only software costs are covered and that accompanying hardware must be paid out-of-pocket, in reality, over 80% of these programs allow for the inclusion of equipment costs, such as PCs and machinery, in the same application. By not separating hardware and software, businesses can significantly expand their options. The analysis shows that for systems like inventory management or order processing, most programs allow for a comprehensive application covering both software and necessary hardware.
