[Action Channel x Nikkatsu] Limited-time Collaboration: "Permanent Preservation Edition! Nikkatsu Action Special" June <Nikkatsu New Action Heroines Special>

Action Channel, Japan's only specialty channel for action dramas, is collaborating with Nikkatsu, the oldest film company in Japan and a pioneer of Japanese action cinema, to broadcast a special six-month project titled "Permanent Preservation Edition! Nikkatsu Action Special" starting in February. From June to July, we will feature the "Nikkatsu New Action Heroines Special." Please enjoy the dignified lives portrayed by stars who left their mark on Japanese film history, such as Chieko Matsubara, Reiko Ohara, Meiko Kaji, Yoko Yamamoto, and Junko Natsu. Furthermore, continuing from May, we will present a marathon broadcast of the "Yoshio Harada and Yusaku Matsuda Special," focusing on two charismatic figures: the wild and charismatic Yoshio Harada, who redefined the hero image, and Yusaku Matsuda, who looked up to him as a mentor. While Action Channel has primarily focused on Western action dramas, this six-month collaboration will showcase the origins and innovations of Japanese action cinema.
