AIKASU Inc. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Representative Director: Masaya Nagata) held a special lecture for parents on June 28, 2026, at the "FY2026 Supporters Association Board Meeting and General Meeting" hosted by the Kumamoto Prefectural University Supporters Association.

The lecture was requested by the Kumamoto Prefectural University Supporters Association in recognition of our practical knowledge and initiatives in both corporate recruitment support and student career support, aimed at adapting to the changing job market.

Masaya Nagata, our representative and an alumnus of Kumamoto Prefectural University, gave a presentation on the theme "The FY2020s Job Market: How Should Parents Get Involved?" He discussed the changes occurring in the current job market and the ways parents are expected to engage.

The Role Expected of Parents Is Not to "Teach the Answers"

Against the backdrop of declining birthrates and diversifying work styles, the environment surrounding job hunting is undergoing significant changes.

Companies now need to engage in recruitment activities not only to "select" students but also to be "selected" by students. Meanwhile, students are also choosing companies based on how they want to work, grow, and interact with society, rather than solely on salary or name recognition.

The lecture primarily covered the following themes:

Changes in student values

Key points companies emphasize in recruitment

The information environment surrounding students in regional areas

Skills needed in the AI era

The role parents should play

In job hunting, a casual remark from a parent can often influence a student's decision-making.

Therefore, we believe that parents are expected not to provide the "correct answer" for career paths, but to create an environment where children can be exposed to various companies and work styles, think for themselves, and take on challenges proactively.

"The Reality of Recruitment" That Can Only Be Conveyed by Supporting Both Students and Companies

The current recruitment market presents challenges for both companies and students.

While companies struggle with "difficulty attracting students" and "inability to fully convey their appeal," students feel they "don't know which company is right for them" or "only consider companies they know."

AIKASU addresses both students and companies through:

Recruitment consulting

New graduate recruitment support

Career education

Planning and operation of student events

Career counseling and job placement support

We are working to solve recruitment and career-related issues based on the voices of both students and companies gained through our daily support activities, addressing questions like: What criteria do students use to choose a company? What improvements should companies make to be chosen by students?

In this lecture, drawing on these practical experiences, we conveyed the realities of the current job market and how parents can get involved at home.

Regional Companies Need "The Power to Be Chosen," Not Just "The Power to Attract Students"

In regional areas, securing human resources has become a major management challenge due to the declining youth population and intensifying recruitment competition.

However, it's not that students aren't interested in regional companies.

AIKASU believes that the problem for many companies is not just the "lack of students," but rather that the appeal and value of their work are not adequately reaching students.

Students consider the following points, in addition to salary and name recognition:

Atmosphere of the people working there

Environment for growth

Corporate philosophy and the significance of the business

Opportunities for young employees to take on challenges

Whether they can concretely imagine themselves working there

What companies need is not simply to increase contact points with students. It is crucial to organize and effectively communicate their appeal and the value of their work from a student's perspective.

AIKASU supports the improvement of regional companies' recruitment capabilities by feeding back real insights gained from interactions with students and educational institutions.

Comment from Masaya Nagata, Representative Director of AIKASU Inc.

"I interpret this lecture invitation not as a recognition of me personally, but of the dual activities AIKASU has been engaged in: 'corporate recruitment support' and 'student career support.'

Recruitment is not solely a corporate issue. The recruitment capabilities of an entire region can change significantly when students, universities, parents, and companies understand each other's situations.

We are not just aiming for recruitment success for companies.

We believe AIKASU's role is to create a recruitment system that benefits the entire region, where young people in the region can find companies where they can work with satisfaction, and those companies can resolve their labor shortages. This leads to a positive cycle for the whole region.

We will continue to work on creating systems that allow Kyushu companies to meet ambitious individuals, while deepening our collaboration with universities and educational institutions."
