(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Masamine Ryuhou; hereinafter "TBS") and THE SEVEN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director/CEO: Katsuhiro Setoguchi; hereinafter "THE SEVEN"). Furthermore, we announce that Takumi Kitamura has been cast as Shinsaku Takasugi in the drama series "Kyoto Decisive Battle Arc."

This work is the first live-action drama adaptation of the popular comic "Chiruran Shinsengumi Requiem," with manga by Eiji Hashimoto, known for his powerful touch and overwhelming artistic skill, and original story by Shinya Umemura, also known for "Record of Ragnarok." Yuki Yamada plays the protagonist, Toshizo Hijikata, while a cast of young actors with strong personalities and talent, including Nobuyuki Suzuki, Aoi Nakamura, Kanata Hosoda, Shuhei Uesugi, Kisetsu Fujiwara, Yosuke Sugino, Shuntaro Yanagi, Akihito Miyazaki, and Hihio Iwanaga, portray the Shinsengumi warriors. Furthermore, a luxurious cast has gathered, with Kento Nakajima as Izō Okada, known as "Hitokiri Izō," Hijikata's rival and ally; Jun Matsumoto as Katamori Matsudaira, the legendary lord of the Aizu domain and founder of the Shinsengumi; and Go Ayano as Kamo Serizawa, the "strongest and most formidable foe" who stands against Hijikata and his comrades.

The special drama "Edo Youth Arc" was broadcast for two consecutive nights on March 26 (Thursday) and 27 (Friday) on TBS. Immediately after the second night's broadcast, exclusive distribution of the drama series "Kyoto Decisive Battle Arc" began on U-NEXT. This series, consisting of six episodes, will release new episodes sequentially every Friday at 7 PM.
