Reviving a Pool That Lay Dormant as an Abandoned School

Takataki Lake Glamping Resort is an accommodation facility reborn from a former elementary school, once attended by local children, renovated into a glamping site.

While many guests have enjoyed spaces that retain the feel of the school, such as the gymnasium and school building, the pool located in a corner of the school grounds remained unused and dormant long after the facility opened.

Now, that pool has been reborn as a new summer symbol and has opened as a pool area for our guests to enjoy.

While retaining its original charm, it has been transformed into an open and liberating space befitting a modern glamping resort.

A Place Where "Nostalgia" and "Newness" Intersect

The school pool where children's laughter once echoed.

A place that had fulfilled its role over many years will now take on a new role as a place to create summer memories with family, friends, and loved ones.

This renovation incorporates a design that preserves the nostalgic atmosphere unique to a school while ensuring safety and comfort.
