[Key Lecture Content]

<1> Acute Care Opened Up by PFM (Patient Flow Management)

- Strategies for Balancing Work Style Reform and Hospital Management -

Nobuhiro Nishizawa [2:00 PM - 2:55 PM]

In the current challenging medical management environment, it is crucial for acute care hospitals to engage in PFM (Patient Flow Management) that strengthens inpatient/discharge support from outpatient services to maintain and enhance hospital functions. At Saku Medical Center, by establishing a Patient Support Center as the core of PFM, we have promoted multi-professional collaboration and task shifting, leading to standardization and reducing various burdens on doctors and nurses. This has enabled us to improve doctor productivity while responding to work style reforms. As a result, management effects such as efficient bed utilization, increased average inpatient revenue, and a rise in the number of surgeries have been achieved, leading to profitable operations. We will discuss our experience.

<2> "Keiju Style PFM" Strategy Balancing Medical and Management Quality

- Practice through DX x DATA -

Masataka Kanno [3:05 PM - 4:00 PM]

To achieve sustainable management in the future, it is essential for hospitals to establish PFM (Patient Flow Management) that centrally manages the patient's flow from admission to discharge. At Keiju General Hospital, we have built the "Keiju Style PFM" centered on the Inpatient/Discharge Management Center, based on "DX (Work Style Reform through Digitalization) x DATA (Data-Driven Management)". We have simultaneously achieved a reduction in average length of stay, increased patient acquisition, and improved financial performance. Furthermore, we are introducing initiatives to expand the concept of PFM to within the corporation, home care, and the entire region, aiming to realize a regionally integrated model that protects the medical care of the Noto region.

1. 3D (DX x DATA x DESIGN) Strategy 2. PFM 3. Clinical Pathway 4. Inpatient/Discharge Management Center 5. Community Comprehensive Care Center 6. Data Center 7. Q&A
