JFR & KOMEHYO PARTNERS, a joint venture between J. Front Retailing Co., Ltd. and Komehyo Co., Ltd., will open the brand reuse purchase specialty store 'MEGRÜS' at Daimaru Kyoto (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto) on June 11, 2026. This marks the first opening in the Kyoto area. MEGRÜS aims to contribute to the circular economy and make purchase services more accessible by locating stores within department stores. A key feature is that customers can shop or dine within the facility while waiting for appraisals, offering a high-quality space that defies the traditional image of purchase stores. The store also engages in initiatives aimed at a sustainable society, such as exhibiting art created by employees with disabilities and implementing a voting system for social contribution projects.
