New Book 'Play with Kako Satoshi's Picture Books!' Released for Childcare Settings

On June 2, 2026, publisher Kaiseisha (Shinjuku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yuji Imamura) released 'Play with Kako Satoshi's Picture Books!' (written/illustrated by Eri Hayami, cooperated by Kako Research Institute) for 2,530 yen (tax included). This 48-page book connects picture book reading with crafts and activities. It features ways to expand on classic stories from the 'Kako Satoshi Storybook' series (such as 'Karasu no Pan-ya-san' and 'Ninjin-batake no Papipupepo') to foster children's broad perspective and independent thinking. Eri Hayami, a modeler for children who supervises workshops at the Kako Satoshi Furusato Picture Book Museum 'Raku' in Echizen, curated the projects based on workshop experience.
