### Body Ito-Yokado Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Chairman & President: Yukio Mafune; hereinafter "Ito-Yokado") will sequentially launch a new product, "Poppo's Fried Chicken," from the "Poppo Frozen Food Series" developed jointly with the food court brand "Poppo"* at 196 stores including Ito-Yokado, York Foods, York Mart, and York Price starting Monday, June 8, 2026.

The "Poppo Frozen Food Series" was developed with the desire to allow customers to easily enjoy the long-loved taste of Poppo at home. Since its launch in April 2026, the series has exceeded 500,000 cumulative servings in approximately two months, achieving sales performance top-class among Ito-Yokado's frozen foods, with growth exceeding 200% of plan.

In recent years, against the background of an increase in dual-income households and diversification of lifestyles, demand for "time-saving" and "convenience" has risen, and the frozen food market continues to expand. In this context, Ito-Yokado has positioned frozen foods as one of its key measures, promoting review of store layouts and strengthening product assortment. In fiscal 2025, overall frozen food sales increased by approximately 8% year-on-year.

On the other hand, the "frozen snacks" category remained flat year-on-year, so as a measure to revitalize the category, the company has been creating new demand by turning popular menu items from "Poppo," which has long been loved for snacks such as french fries and imagawayaki, into frozen foods.

As a result, after the introduction of the "Poppo Frozen Food Series," existing store sales in the "frozen snacks" category from April to June increased by approximately 15% year-on-year, contributing to the expansion of overall frozen food sales.

The new "Poppo's Fried Chicken" is a product that can be easily enjoyed by microwave cooking. It has a crispy exterior and juicy interior, suitable not only as a side dish but also for a wide range of occasions such as snacks, light meals, and appetizers. Ito-Yokado will continue to promote the development of "products that can only be bought here" and, through product development that listens to customer voices, make the daily lives of local customers more enjoyable, richer, and more convenient.
