Sukesan Udon Launches First Radio Program in Miyazaki Prefecture: Partners with MRT Miyazaki Broadcasting's Popular Show 'Fresh AM! Mogitate Radio' Starting June 5 (Fri)

Sukesan Udon has decided to sponsor the popular MRT Miyazaki Broadcasting radio program 'Fresh AM! Mogitate Radio'! The first broadcast will be on Friday, June 5, around 11:30 AM. Please look forward to it!

Sukesan Udon currently operates three stores in Miyazaki Prefecture.

The first store in Miyazaki Prefecture, 'Sukesan Udon Miyakonojo Kawahigashi Store', opened in October 2021. This was followed by 'Sukesan Udon Hyuga Zaikoji Store' in June 2022, and 'Sukesan Udon Miyazaki Awakigahara Store' in February 2023. Since opening, we have been visited by many customers, including local residents. Thank you very much.

Miyazaki Prefecture is known as a representative udon prefecture in Kyushu, with unique udon cultures taking root in the northern, central, southern, and western parts of the prefecture, including 'kamaage udon' and 'asa udon'.

With the desire to energize the people of Miyazaki Prefecture through udon and to further boost the udon enthusiasm in the prefecture, we have decided to sponsor a radio program for the first time in Miyazaki Prefecture.

The collaborative radio program [MRT Miyazaki Broadcasting × Sukesan Udon] will first air on Friday, June 5, around 11:30 AM.

Founded in 1976, Sukesan Udon is an udon chain originating from Kitakyushu City, with over 100 stores across 1 metropolitan area, 2 prefectures, and 16 prefectures, including all 7 prefectures of Kyushu, Yamaguchi, Okayama, Osaka, Hyogo, Hiroshima, Chiba, Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, Gunma, Nara, and Kyoto. With a rich menu of udon and rice bowls, it is beloved as a 'soul food of Kitakyushu' by a wide range of customers, from children to the elderly.

Since its founding, we have maintained a commitment to 'handmade' by preparing broth multiple times daily in each store. The broth, made by hand without sparing effort, is filled not only with 'deliciousness' but also with the maker's desire to 'serve a delicious meal to customers'.

Enjoyed with our proud 'broth', our most popular item is the 'Nikugoboten Udon', along with Kitakyushu's specialty 'Kashiwa Udon'. We also offer a variety of udon menus such as 'Ebiten Udon', 'Motsunabe Udon', 'Yaki Udon', and 'Seasonal Udon'. All-you-can-add tororo kombu and tenkasu are also part of Sukesan Udon's appeal.

In addition to udon, we offer over 150 menu items including 'soba', 'rice bowls', 'curry', 'oden', and 'kashiwa onigiri'. The 'Botamochi', which sells 6.8 million units annually, is also a specialty of Sukesan Udon, beloved by many customers.

Another point appreciated by many customers is our long operating hours. Most stores are open until late at night, and many are open 24 hours. With the desire for customers to visit us easily at any time, we do not charge any late-night surcharges. Please enjoy your favorite menu at your usual price at any time you like.

Our stores offer a variety of seating options, including table seats, counter seats, and box seats, allowing you to enjoy your meal in a relaxed setting. Whether you are with family, friends, or alone, please feel free to use our store according to your needs.

SDGs Initiatives

In March 2021, 'Sukesan Udon' declared the 'Sukesan SDGs' initiative, setting the goal of 'Creating a Happy World'. Each employee is conscious of and acts towards achieving this goal, working towards a better society. Our activities are diverse, including building a workplace system that emphasizes diversity and inclusion, cooperating with industry-academia-government collaborative projects for a circular economy, and using natural energy with virtually zero CO2 emissions. Among these, we particularly focus on initiatives for children, who are 'local treasures'. We are actively engaged in activities such as establishing the 'Sukesan Children's Fund', conducting 'Sukesan Food Education Classes', and visiting 'children's homes' and 'children's cafeterias' with our kitchen car to provide meals. Currently, these initiatives for children are centered in the Fukuoka area, but we are also considering expanding our activities to areas where 'Sukesan Udon' has stores.
