The 16th annual open event of the automotive media 'Le Volant,' 'LE VOLANT CARS MEET 2026 YOKOHAMA,' will be held over the weekend of Saturday, May 30th, and Sunday, May 31st, at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse event plaza and surrounding areas in the Minato Mirai district of Yokohama. On the day, a multitude of the latest models from both domestic and international automobile manufacturers will gather at the venue, including the new Nissan Elgrand and BYD RACCO, which are just about to have their official domestic release, as well as the recently announced Honda Super-ONE and new Mazda CX-5. In addition to being able to see and touch the cars up close at the main event plaza, the ever-popular test drive corner will be available. Participants can get behind the wheel themselves to experience the driving feel of the latest models they are interested in, accompanied by an instructor. Various experiential demonstrations will also be held at the venue, such as the Subaru 'EyeSight' experience, famous for its 'car that doesn't crash!', a hill-climbing experience with a Mitsubishi 4WD vehicle, and a BBS wheel comparison test drive. On the main stage, a diverse program will be implemented, including talk sessions by motor journalists active in Le Volant such as Kazuo Shimizu, Masamichi Ishii, Shintaro Watanabe, Yumi Yoshida, Kei Takeoka, and Tomoko Fujishima, in-depth explanations of new models with manufacturer representatives, and a car photography course by photographer Daijiro Kori, who is also active in the magazine.
