Rakuten Baseball, Inc. (Headquarters: Miyagino-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Seiji Morii) announced that Miyagi Prefecture-born actress Shiori Kubo will perform the ceremonial first pitch at the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks game on Saturday, May 16.

This will be Shiori Kubo's sixth visit overall, and her fourth consecutive year since 2023. On the day of the event, she is scheduled to make an appearance for the ceremonial first pitch, as well as participate in various other events. Details will be announced on the team's official website as soon as they are finalized.

Furthermore, the "EXCITING Series" will be held on the same day. The "Third Uniform 2026," designed with the silhouettes of the six Tohoku prefectures, will be presented to the first 15,000 spectators holding tickets for the game. Ms. Kubo, who publicly declares herself a Rakuten Eagles fan, will also wear the "Third Uniform 2026" and passionately cheer for the Rakuten Eagles with the fans.

In 2016, she passed the "Nogizaka46" 3rd generation audition and debuted.

Since 2022, she has served as a personality for Nippon Broadcasting System's "Nogizaka46's All Night Nippon," and while still a member of the group, she has appeared in numerous dramas, films, and stage productions, including NHK's historical drama "What Will You Do, Ieyasu?" and the serial TV novel "Anpan." She graduated from the group in November 2025 and is currently active as an actress.

Shiori Kubo's Comment

I am very happy to be able to participate again this year, following last year. After moving to Tokyo, I left the Tohoku Golden Angels cheerleading team, which I had been a part of for many years. Even after that, I was given the opportunity to stand on the stadium again, and even after graduating from Nogizaka46, I am incredibly grateful and heartily happy to be able to stand on the home ground of the Rakuten Eagles, whom I have supported for many years.
