Toyo Shinyaku Files Japan's First Immunity Claim for Barley Young Leaf Fiber

Toyo Shinyaku Co., Ltd. has successfully filed its 'Barley Young Leaf Fiber Green Juice I' as a Food with Functional Claims (FFC), marking Japan's first instance of barley-derived fiber supporting immune function. The ingredient works by activating conventional Dendritic Cells (cDC) to help maintain the immune system in healthy individuals. This adds a fifth claim to the material, which already covers bowel movement, intestinal health, sleep quality, and skin hydration. The company plans to expand its ODM/OEM proposals and raw material sales using this multi-functional high-value ingredient.
