What is Yamato Transport's National Safety Convention?

This is an in-house competition tournament held by Yamato Transport with the aim of improving safety awareness and driving skills.

The competition comprehensively evaluates not only the accuracy of vehicle operation but also the driving behaviors required of professional drivers, such as safety checks, hazard prediction, and legal compliance.

Participants aim to further enhance their safety driving awareness by reflecting on their own driving while competing in the driving skills and accuracy of safety checks cultivated through their daily work.

In this Kansai Region Supervisory Block Selection preliminary round, for the first time for Yamato Transport, scoring by driving school examiners riding along was implemented.

The competition venue was "Tsukinowa Driving School," and examiners from Hirosawa Driving School and Tsukinowa Driving School participated as scorers.

Examiners from Hirosawa Driving School and Tsukinowa Driving School are responsible for skill tests for students aiming to obtain driver's licenses and evaluate safety checks, hazard prediction, and driving operations from a professional perspective. On the day, they rode with the drivers in the competition vehicles and scored their driving from a third-party standpoint.

President Tsuguo Sogawa

Tsuguo Sogawa, President of Hirosawa Driving School

Driving schools are often perceived as places to obtain a license, but their true role is to reduce traffic accidents. I am deeply honored to have been involved in Yamato Transport's safety initiatives as a scorer this time.

We believe that providing education on accident prevention, such as safety checks and hazard prediction, in addition to driving skills, leads to a reduction in traffic accidents.

We will continue to further enhance the quality of our education towards the realization of a society free from traffic accidents.
