Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuaki Kato) announces that it has rebuilt its "Chiyoda Dormitory" for unmarried employees in the Shizuoka area (Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City) to further enhance its employee welfare program. Construction was completed in February 2026, and residents began moving in on March 23.
The Chiyoda Dormitory, which was 39 years old, was rebuilt to address its aging structure and to update it with the latest facilities. The living space per room has been expanded to about three times its previous size, and each private room is now equipped with its own plumbing facilities, ensuring sufficient privacy and a comfortable living space. In addition to convenience improvements like the installation of delivery boxes, the building's performance has been enhanced with improved earthquake resistance, insulation, and soundproofing. Furthermore, a solar power generation and storage system has been installed, making the building environmentally friendly and resilient to disasters. Moreover, a spacious lounge has been established to serve as a place for employees to communicate with each other, supporting their growth in both their professional and personal lives.
We will continue to create an environment where each employee can perform to their full potential, aiming to enhance corporate value and achieve sustainable growth.
