IDIC (Headquarters: Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture), a group company of Osaka-ya Shop (Headquarters: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture), has completed the construction of its new logistics hub, the "Imizu Distribution Center" (hereinafter, Imizu DC), which has been under development in Imizu City, Toyama Prefecture. Operations will commence in stages from June 2026.

A completion ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, along with a facility tour for stakeholders.

Imizu DC is scheduled for full-scale operation from July and will be the group's first large-scale logistics center equipped with the latest automated warehouse functions, serving as a logistics foundation to support future group growth strategies.

At Imizu DC, we will proceed with the reconstruction of our logistics infrastructure centered on the latest automated warehouse. Through collaboration with 3PL provider Asahi Logistics Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), we have optimized equipment, systems, and operations as a single unit, achieving both labor savings and improved processing capacity.

The objectives of Imizu DC are: (1) reconstruction of the back-end system to support the Osaka-ya Shop Group's growth strategy, (2) improvement of logistics quality, and (3)対応 to future store openings and MD (merchandising). It combines inventory and delivery functions for room-temperature products, aiming to optimize everything from product procurement to store delivery. Furthermore, by introducing the latest automated warehouse system, we have achieved automation of inbound/outbound, storage, and picking processes. This will improve work efficiency, solve labor shortage issues, and enhance logistics quality such as inventory management and shipping accuracy.

The Osaka-ya Shop Group will continue to strive for further service improvement and, together with our supporting business partners, aim to create stores and foundations that bring smiles to even more customers.
