Announcement of New Release from Village Vanguard's Music Label 'VILLAGE VANGUARD RECORDS' on June 1 (Mon)!

Village Vanguard's music label, 'VILLAGE VANGUARD RECORDS,' will release the new work 'Sweet Karma' by artist Hiromi on June 1, 2026 (Monday). The EP includes three tracks: 'Sweet Karma,' 'Every,' and 'Many Things to Know (Hiromi & Shinsuke Sugawara).' Hiromi's colorful singing voice, described as a 'Rainbow Voice,' and her relatable lyrics have captivated many listeners. The title track, 'Sweet Karma,' is a mature R&B number where the sound of her long-time producer friend U-Key zone resonates with Hiromi's vocals. The second track, 'Every,' is a mid-up tune created in collaboration with NAKKID, expressing precious time spent with loved ones. The third track, 'Many Things to Know,' is her first collaboration with the talented singer-songwriter Shinsuke Sugawara, serving as a message song that gently pierces the heart. Hiromi began playing the Ikuta-ryu koto at the age of four, experiencing traditional Japanese music from childhood while also being exposed to urban music such as Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. After graduating from high school, she began her music career in the United States and won a contest in Boston. Since returning to Japan, she has debuted and has recently been active as a lyricist and top-liner, writing Japanese lyrics for artists such as Nissy, SixTONES, Snow Man, CHARLI XCX, IVE, and Le Sserafim.
