What is the Metalo-Balance (MB) Test?
The Metalo-Balance Test is a risk screening (triage) test that objectively evaluates the risk of cancer and MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) at the time of blood draw by analyzing the concentration balance of 17 trace elements (metal elements) in the blood.
### Features of the Test
- Only one 6mL blood draw: Blood is safely collected under the proper management of medical institutions. The test takes approximately 15 minutes, minimizing physical burden and ensuring safety.
- Site-specific 'Cancer Risk Test': In a single blood draw, cancer risks are evaluated by site (6 sites for men, 9 sites for women) and scored on a four-tier scale from A to D. - [Men] Lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer - [Women] Lung cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer

Testing Procedure and Key Pre-Test Instructions
* Due to the need for document mailing procedures, advance registration is required approximately three weeks before the desired test date (by complete reservation system).
- Registration: Please register via the website or by phone. A complete set of test documents will be delivered to your home approximately one week before your scheduled appointment.
- Test Day (Blood Draw): As the service operates on a complete reservation basis, blood collection will proceed smoothly (takes about 15 minutes). Payment is via convenience store post-payment, so there is no need to settle at the clinic on the day.
- Result Notification: Your invoice (payment slip) will be mailed to your home approximately three weeks after blood draw, and your test results will be sent approximately five weeks later.
### Key Pre-Test Instructions
- Food and Alcohol: No food after 9 PM the previous day. No alcohol from the previous day onward. - Hydration: Please drink sufficient water to facilitate blood collection. - Medications and Supplements: Over-the-counter medications and supplements should not be taken from the previous day onward. Prescription medications should be taken as usual.

Eligibility and Important Notes for the Metalo-Balance Test
### Age Eligibility
- Cancer Risk Test: Japanese nationals aged 20 to 80 - Cognitive Risk Test: Japanese nationals aged 50 to 80
* As this test was developed based on data from Japanese individuals within the above age ranges, individuals outside these age groups or non-Japanese nationals may take the test, but results will be considered 'reference values' only. Please understand this in advance.
### Individuals Who Cannot Take the Test
- Pregnant individuals or those within 6 months postpartum - Individuals currently undergoing cancer treatment or within 1 year after completion of cancer treatment - Individuals undergoing dialysis - Individuals with fractures, blood disorders, or immunodeficiency (excluding lipid abnormalities such as high triglycerides) - Individuals in poor physical condition (including lack of sleep, after an all-nighter, immediately after intense exercise, under severe stress, or experiencing symptoms such as cold, asthma, shingles, allergic rashes, or allergic rhinitis)
