Lumine Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Teruyuki Omote) opened a pop-up store in Paris, France on June 14 as part of its 'tokyo sense' project, which aims to promote the appeal of Japanese brands globally. In collaboration with global partners including renowned creative director Andreas Murkudis, the project introduces Japan’s unique craftsmanship, sensibility, and aesthetic consciousness to international markets. An opening event held on June 13 attracted approximately 300 guests, primarily fashion industry professionals, marking a strong start that reflects high local interest in Japanese culture and craftsmanship.

On-site Highlights

More than twice the expected number of visitors attended the opening event. Attendees included fashion, art, and design professionals from France and neighboring countries who traveled specifically to experience the pop-up. The space was bustling with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Among the product categories—fashion, crafts, beauty, jewelry, and art books—fashion tops were especially popular. Items featuring high-quality textures, seamless whole-garment knitwear, and minimalist, clean designs received particularly positive feedback. Additionally, many visitors came specifically for art books published by renowned Japanese galleries, highlighting strong interest in Japanese art and culture.
