[STATE OF ESCAPE] First Landing in Hokkaido! Limited-Time POP UP SHOP Opens at Daimaru Sapporo Store

STATE OF ESCAPE, a handmade bag brand born in Austria with the concept of "creating unique, edgy, and beautiful carryalls."

We are pleased to announce that a POP UP SHOP will be held at Daimaru Sapporo Store from Wednesday, July 15th to Tuesday, July 21st.

This POP UP SHOP is the first of its kind in Hokkaido. It will feature the brand's signature "Escape Collection" made from neoprene material, as well as new colors that will pop in your summer styling. The bags are lightweight, foldable, and treated with water-repellent and stain-resistant finishes, making them versatile for a wide range of occasions, from daily use to travel. They are also easy to care for with hand washing.

In addition, the "Meridian Collection," introduced this year, will also be available. These knit material bags, created with a different approach than neoprene, use recycled polyester and feature updated parts, demonstrating the brand's commitment to craftsmanship down to the finest details. At the venue, you are sure to find a piece that suits your lifestyle from a wide selection of sizes and colors.

Furthermore, a special bag from the popular dual-tone color line will be available exclusively at Daimaru Sapporo Store. The colors are inspired by the designer's experiences in Greece several years ago, offering a truly captivating lineup.

Available in two of the brand's signature models, "Escape" and "Flying Solo." The handles have been made slightly thicker to fit a wider range of lifestyles.

The color palette is inspired by the designer Brigitte's experiences in Greece several years ago. The contrast between the clear Aegean Sea and the sun-drenched land is striking, with a base inspired by the landscape of blues, browns, pale greens, and dry, white earth tones. The warm, clay-like sandy color overlaps with the clear hue of pure water, creating a coloring that is both natural and profound.

A handmade bag brand started in Sydney, Australia by Brigitte MacGowan and Desley Maidment.

Born with the concept of "creating unique, edgy, and beautiful carryalls." The two were captivated by the possibilities of neoprene, a material that is incredibly soft yet highly durable. Through trial and error, they created "Escape," the brand's iconic neoprene bag. By incorporating sailing rope into its structure, they developed a lightweight and supple bag that combines functionality and design. All collections balance practicality, such as being foldable and washable, with a beauty that naturally blends into everyday life. The simple and sophisticated design, unaffected by trends, is passed down as the brand's core value.

In 2024, they obtained B Corp certification. They are also committed to responsible manufacturing that considers the environment and society, such as developing collections that use recycled polyester.
