SUUMO Journal, a news site operated by Recruit Co., Ltd. This time, we investigated the price trends for used condominiums along the JR Yamanote Line. We are introducing the rankings for stations with the most affordable price trends for both "singles (exclusive area of 20 sqm to less than 50 sqm)" and "couples/families (exclusive area of 50 sqm to less than 80 sqm)."

In this ranking, stations in the northern area dominated the top spots.

■ Top 3 Stations for "Singles" are Concentrated Within a 25-Minute Walk!

The number one station for singles (exclusive area of 20 sqm to less than 50 sqm) is Uguisudani Station, with a price trend of 42.85 million yen. Located in Taito Ward, the area west of the station features multiple museums, a zoo, and a park with the Shinobazu Pond. While the west side of the station has a calm atmosphere with vast parks and many historic temples, the east side has a different character. Many temples remain on this side as well. With an abundance of restaurants, convenience stores, discount stores, and supermarkets supporting daily life, it leaves a strong impression of a town where daily life is actively conducted. Additionally, by walking about 10 minutes east from the station, you can also use Iriya Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. Walking northwest along the tracks from Uguisudani Station for about 13 minutes brings you to Nippori Station in Arakawa Ward, which ranked 2nd with a price trend of 48.40 million yen. The area in front of the south exit of Nippori Station is bustling with restaurants such as burger shops and conveyor-belt sushi, and there is a complex building directly connected to the station that includes a supermarket. Nippori Station, served by the JR Yamanote, Keihin-Tohoku/Negishi, and Joban lines, as well as the Keisei Main Line and the Nippori-Toneri Liner, features JR in-station commercial facilities, making it an environment where you can easily buy bento boxes, side dishes, and sweets. On the west exit side, a 5-6 minute walk leads to a shopping street crowded with about 60 stores. Furthermore, if you exit the east side of Nippori Station and walk northwest for less than 10 minutes, passing by a post office and convenience stores, you will arrive at the station front of the 3rd place, Nishi-Nippori Station. Nishi-Nippori Station, which ranked 3rd with a price trend of 49.80 million yen, is also in Arakawa Ward like Nippori Station, and the distance between the two stations is the shortest on the JR Yamanote Line, at only about 500 meters.
