About the Director-General of Gunma Labor Bureau Commendation

The Gunma Labor Bureau conducts "National Safety Week" annually from July 1 to July 7 with the aim of promoting voluntary accident prevention activities in the workplace and raising safety and health awareness. As part of this event, commendations are given to workplaces and organizations with excellent safety and health management standards.

YOKOO has been recognized as a workplace with particularly good safety and health standards within the region, serving as a model for others, and has received the "Excellent Achievement" award for the first time. This is the second time YOKOO has received an award from the Director-General of the Gunma Labor Bureau, following the "Encouragement Award" received in Reiwa 1 (2019).

Reason for the Award

We believe this award is a comprehensive recognition of YOKOO's efforts to improve safety and health standards, including safety management centered on risk assessment, and educational programs and training aimed at improving employee safety awareness.

YOKOO's Initiatives

As YOKOO utilizes machinery and chemicals, we recognize the risks of industrial accidents and health issues. We implement safety management centered on risk assessment, as well as KYT (Kiken Yochi Training - Hazard Prediction Training) and near-miss reporting. To eliminate industrial accidents, we hold regular safety and health committee meetings, provide safety and health education through e-learning, and have established a "Safety Dojo" at the Tomioka Plant where employees can experience simulated industrial accidents, thereby enhancing their safety awareness.

Furthermore, to maintain and promote employee health, we have established a health management center, developed a support system with industrial physicians and public health nurses, and promote influenza vaccinations. We believe these initiatives have been comprehensively evaluated.

Going forward, YOKOO will continue its efforts to protect safety and health, aiming to create a workplace free of industrial accidents and realize an environment where everyone can work with peace of mind and safety.
