MEC Design Furniture Wins SIT FURNITURE DESIGN AWARD 2026

MEC Design International and Iyobe Crafts' co-developed original furniture series, 'Tranquil Collection' and 'Edge Collection', won the Swiss-based international 'SIT FURNITURE DESIGN AWARD 2026'. 'Tranquil Collection' won in the 'Chair' and 'Lounge chair' categories, following its previous win at the 'iF Design Award 2025'. 'Edge Collection' won in the 'Commercial furniture' category. 'Tranquil Collection', designed by Moe Yoshizumi, is inspired by sand ripples and offers a soft, delicate space, ideal for dining, office receptions, and lounges. 'Edge Collection', designed by Ayako Izukawa, uses rattan round core as a design feature, creating a modern aesthetic suitable for hotel entrances and dining areas.
