The Non-Programmer Skill-Up Research Association (led by Nariaki Takahashi) and Plan-Notes Co., Ltd. announced that they will hold the 'Non-Programmers Technology Camp 2026' on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Cybozu, Inc. Tokyo office (Chuo-ku, Tokyo). The conference is designed for 'non-programmers'—individuals in non-IT roles who utilize IT, digital tools, and generative AI to solve real-world work challenges.

## Background: The 'Five Walls' of the AI Era and Non-Programmer Isolation
By 2026, generative AI has become a business infrastructure. Challenges for non-programmers have moved into a deeper, more complex 'second-round wall' phase. Based on a survey of the 'Non-Pro Ken' community, it was revealed that non-programmers are struggling in isolation, blocked by the following 'Five Walls':

1. Smoldering Challengers (現場層): Struggling against status quo bias and lack of authority.
2. Lonely Leaders (リーダー層): Feeling isolated and anxious while handling DX promotion responsibilities.
3. Information Castaways (AI迷子): Swamped by the influx of information and lost on where to start.
4. Stalled Explorers (独学者): Reaching the limits of self-learning without a consultant.
5. Digital Refugees (デジタル難民): Falling behind due to fear of IT.

This event is designed to support these individuals. The previous event in September 2025 saw 203 registrations and 169 attendees, and this year aims for further expansion and deeper content.

## Event Concept: 'Surfing the AI Wave Instead of Drowning in It'
This year's theme, 'Surfing the AI Wave Instead of Drowning in It,' focuses on active practice and collaboration. Participants will learn from the raw success and failure stories of other front-line non-programmers, connecting with 'collective intelligence' to gain the insights, courage, and comrades needed to autonomously master AI.

Generative AI has empowered non-programmers more than ever. However, there are still 'walls' and 'isolation' in the process of utilizing it to change organizations. This conference brings together challengers from across Japan to share wisdom and passion. By meeting peers and learning together, I hope this serves as a starting line for an active transformation where we enjoy surfing the AI wave rather than being consumed by it.
