This milestone 10th anniversary event will feature over 120 SDF personnel—the largest number in history—competing from across the nation. For the first time this year, a new 'Athlete Class' has been introduced to evaluate functional, training-built physiques. Members from the Ground, Maritime, and Air Self-Defense Forces will showcase their muscular physiques on stage, transcending their branches. General admission tickets are now on sale, and sponsorship opportunities for future events are also available. This category evaluates functional, high-performance physiques developed through training—not just for show.

1. It assesses healthy, high-functionality bodies forged through SDF training.

2. It does not prioritize excessive muscle mass, but rather evaluates balanced, athletic builds that demonstrate endurance, agility, and coordination—qualities essential for mission performance and national defense.

[Popular Contestant]: Kosho Ikeda (1st Airborne Brigade, Narashino Camp, Ground SDF)

The 1st Airborne Brigade is Japan's sole parachute unit, trained to parachute into action at the front lines during emergencies. Members carry up to 50kg of equipment and march 100km through mountainous terrain, undergoing extreme daily training to build resilient bodies. Ikeda trains solely through official duties and weight training—never through bodybuilding-specific workouts—maintaining a lean physique year-round.

Ikeda competes while maintaining his regular diet, enjoying fried chicken and ramen. Years of intense training have enabled him to eat freely without gaining weight.

Each branch—Ground, Maritime, and Air SDF—will present their physiques on stage by unit.
