Running Positively Through the Era! New Character 'Gal Usagi' is Born!

Fuji Creative Corporation (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kazuya Maeda; hereinafter 'FCC') has partnered with Amusement Media Academy (Main Building: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Board Chairman: Togo Yoshida; hereinafter 'AMG') to launch a character development business. As the first character of this project, 'Gal Usagi' debuted today, June 1, 2026 (Monday). FCC, known for producing popular TV programs such as 'Tousouchuu' (Run for Money) and 'Zenryoku! Datsuryoku Times,' as well as the anime 'Anne Shirley,' operates under the slogan 'Entertainment, to the ends of the earth...' and is involved in a wide range of businesses. As a new initiative, they have launched a character development project centered on young employees. AMG, which collaborates on this project, has produced numerous graduates who lead the entertainment industry, including voice actors Yusuke Kobayashi and Yu Serizawa, and illustrator Takehana Note, and possesses extensive knowledge in creator education and training. Based on the planning, production, and creative capabilities cultivated by both companies, as well as their deep passion for entertainment, they will work to develop characters that remain in people's hearts, add color to daily life, and are widely loved. Furthermore, they will actively contribute to supporting the next generation of creators through joint production with student creators. In recent years, interest in the 'gal' culture of the early Heisei era has been attracting attention across generations. The positive energy that encourages oneself and brightens the people around them may be gaining empathy again in today's world where diverse values are spreading. 'Gal Usagi' is a character born with that 'gal mind' as its theme. While staying close to various thoughts and ways of life, it depicts a figure that faces forward even when failing and moves forward in its own way. Through the figure of working hard without giving up, they will deliver empathy and energy to a wide range of generations. In the 'Gal Usagi' debut, three unique characters centered on the main character, Mochiko, will appear. In the future, various projects such as video content, social media posts, and merchandise development are planned. They are aliens who came from the moon. Wearing rabbit costumes, they descended to Earth under the orders of the lunar government. The lunar world had a problem where the residents' moods were swayed by the phases of the moon, and on the day of the new moon, no one was in town. The mission given as a solution was to learn the Earth's 'gal mind' and bring it back to the moon. The 'Gal Usagi' characters struggle in the unfamiliar Earth while learning the 'gal mind.' Will they be able to change the future of the moon?
