Busicom's POS Registers Begin Integration with "Money Forward Cloud" Provided by Money Forward

Busicom Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Hiroshi Nakamabachi) has commenced API-based data integration between its POS registers "BCPOS" and "Rearegi," and "Money Forward Cloud"* provided by Money Forward, Inc.

This integration will enable sales and accounts receivable data recorded by POS registers in retail stores and specialty shops nationwide to be automatically imported into "Money Forward Cloud," where candidate journal entries will be automatically created. This will significantly reduce the burden of accounting tasks in store operations and strongly promote "Store Accounting DX" by preventing errors caused by manual input.

Background

In traditional store operations, manually inputting daily sales into accounting software has been a significant burden. In particular, the coexistence of reduced tax rates (8%) and standard tax rates (10%), and the journalization of diverse payment methods such as cash, credit cards, and gift certificates, were complex and prone to input errors.

With this integration, sales data generated by the POS registers "BCPOS" and "Rearegi" is aggregated into our cloud-based store headquarters management system "TenpoVisor." By accurately mapping this data according to Money Forward's three-tier hierarchical rules of "Sub-accounts (Stores)," "Transaction Headers (Slips)," and "Transaction Details," we have achieved zero-input automation.

Features of this Integration

Sales and accounts receivable data recorded by POS registers will be automatically imported into "Money Forward Cloud," and candidate journal entries will be automatically created.

Accurate Data Structuring through a 3-Tier Structure

Level 1 (Sub-accounts): Based on store name and store code, sales for each store in Money Forward can be managed individually.

Level 2 (Transaction Headers): Among the register slips, those corresponding to sales are treated as "transactions," and only sales data is extracted for journalization.

Level 3 (Transaction Details): Transaction details are recorded by payment method (debit) and sales type (credit). If the total of debit and credit does not match the total amount of the slip, an error will occur.

Full Support for Diverse Payment Methods and Complex Tax Rates

Automatically aggregates into account titles according to payment methods such as cash, credit cards (unearned revenue), and gift certificates.

Automatically classifies sales by tax rate, such as 8% (reduced tax rate 8%) and 10% (taxable sales 10%), and also supports tax-exempt and non-taxable sales.

Flexible Data Synchronization Timing

Initial Integration: Acquires up to 13 months of past data in a batch upon new account linkage.

Supports Both Automatic and Manual Integration: Automatically acquired once daily at midnight. Manual updates are also possible as needed.
