World Sea Lion Day Special Event! Picture Book 'Todoni Otodoke' Reading, Talk & Signing Event to be Held on May 30th (Sat) at Ikebukuro Sunshine Aquarium

Pie International Co., Ltd. (Toshima-ku) will hold a reading, talk, and signing event for the picture book 'Todoni Otodoke' (written by Kenta Otsuka, illustrated by Karin Kano), published by the company, on May 30th (Saturday) at Ikebukuro Sunshine Aquarium.

'Todoni Otodoke' Reading, Talk & Signing Event

Date: May 30th (Saturday) 11:30-14:00 (Reading & Talk: 11:30-12:00 / Signing: 12:00-14:00)

Location: Ikebukuro Sunshine Aquarium, outdoor area Marine Garden "Performance Stage"

*The signing event will be held at a special venue within the Marine Garden.

*The event will proceed in case of rain (location may change to an indoor area of the aquarium), but will be canceled in stormy weather.

Participation Method: The reading & talk session is free to participate (a separate admission fee to the aquarium is required).

For the signing event, numbered tickets will be distributed to the first 50 people who purchase the picture book at "Shop Aqua Pocket" on the 2nd floor of the aquarium.

A seagull is tasked with delivering a birthday cake to a sea lion (todor). However, the one that emerges from the house is a sea lion (ashika), very similar to a todor. The next one to appear is also a very similar seal (azarashi). The seagull can't seem to reach the todor. When it finally meets one...? A humorous picture book that also teaches the differences between marine animals.
