Piolink Signs Distributor Agreement with Ascentech Co., Ltd.

Piolink Co., Ltd. (CEO: Cho Yong-chul, hereinafter "Piolink") announces the signing of a Distributor Agreement with Ascentech Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takashi Matsuura, hereinafter "Ascentech") under the partner category.

Under this Distributor Agreement, Ascentech will handle domestic sales and service provision for Piolink's security switch product line, the "TiFRONT" series. Piolink will collaborate with Ascentech's domestic sales network and expertise in virtual desktop and remote access solutions to support enhanced cybersecurity and secure network environments for enterprises and local governments during their digital transformation (DX) initiatives.

Background and Objectives of the Distributor Agreement

In recent years, cyberattacks such as ransomware have become increasingly sophisticated, heightening the importance of internal threat containment, endpoint and network visibility, and continuous monitoring. For local governments and mid-sized enterprises, establishing secure remote access environments and achieving zero-trust networks have become critical business challenges amid DX advancement and the adoption of hybrid work models.

Since its establishment in 2000, Piolink has developed and provided proprietary solutions that integrate networking and security. The TiFRONT series, a security switch built on network switching technology, enables endpoint-level visibility and control, micro-segmentation, and cloud management. It has been widely adopted by customers in the Japanese market.

Ascentech has been providing solutions in virtual desktops, remote access, cloud services, and cybersecurity, supporting Japanese enterprises in transforming their workstyles. Scope of the Distributor Agreement

1. Ascentech’s Domestic Market Expansion

Ascentech will conduct domestic sales and service delivery for Piolink’s TiFRONT series of security switches. Additionally, products incorporating Piolink’s ransomware countermeasure technologies will be introduced to the Japanese market through integration with Ascentech’s security products, services, and sales channels.

2. Piolink’s Expansion into the Korean Market

Piolink will promote the deployment of Ascentech’s remote access solutions in the Korean market, including the "Remote PC Array" and the dedicated remote access cloud service "Resalio Connect," both developed based on Ascentech’s long-standing expertise in the VDI domain.

3. Joint Development of New Products and Services

The two companies will collaborate on developing new products and services by integrating Ascentech’s virtual desktop and remote access technologies with Piolink’s security switch technologies.

Going forward, both companies aim to provide complementary products and services to the Japanese and Korean markets, driving further growth in their cloud services and cybersecurity solution businesses.
