[Hotel New Otani Saga] Shinsuke Morimoto Appointed New General Manager

New Otani Kyushu Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that Shinsuke Morimoto has been appointed as a Director and General Manager of Hotel New Otani Saga, effective June 30, 2026.

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. After graduating from Waseda University, he joined New Otani Co., Ltd. (Tokyo) in 1994. He gained extensive experience in departments such as Accommodation, Management Services, and Sales Headquarters, and was assigned to New York as the Director of North American Sales for Global Marketing. He subsequently held positions including General Manager of Management Services and General Manager of Accommodation Sales, engaging in the planning and promotion of sales strategies and hotel operations both domestically and internationally.

He has now been appointed as a Director of New Otani Kyushu Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Hotel New Otani Saga. Leveraging his accumulated experience, he will promote hotel operations rooted in the local community and convey the charm of Saga and Kyushu to both domestic and international audiences.

<A Message from the General Manager> I am Shinsuke Morimoto, and I have been appointed General Manager of Hotel New Otani Saga.

By the grace of our patrons, Hotel New Otani Saga will celebrate its 50th anniversary on September 1st of this year. Since our opening in 1976, we have served as the guesthouse of Saga Prefecture, supported by the encouragement and patronage of the local community. We have also had the honor of welcoming Emperor Showa to the Wakakusa National Sports Festival and Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress to the National Sports Festival and National Sports Festival for Persons with Disabilities in SAGA 2024.

While cherishing this history and tradition, we will strive for further evolution towards the next 50 years. As a hotel rooted in the community, we will also endeavor to contribute to regional development by promoting the charm of Saga and Kyushu both domestically and internationally.

【About Hotel New Otani Saga】 Opened on September 1, 1976, as a reception venue for the Imperial Family during the "Wakakusa National Sports Festival."

Designed by Kisho Kurokawa, a leading Japanese architect, the hotel is cherished for its natural surroundings, enveloped by a moat and the prefectural tree, the kusunoki, allowing guests to feel the seasonal landscapes of Saga.

The hotel showcases Saga's traditional crafts such as Arita ware, Imari ware, and Nabeshima textiles.
