Cosplayers Nationwide Gather on Awaji Island! "3rd Awaji Island COSPLAY ~Awacos~ Powered by World Cosplay Summit" Concludes Successfully with Record Attendance

At the Awaji Island Anime Park "Nijigen no Mori," in cooperation with World Cosplay Summit, which organizes one of the world's largest cosplay events, the cosplay event "3rd Awaji Island COSPLAY ~Awacos~ Powered by World Cosplay Summit" was held on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

This third iteration was a day filled with excitement, attracting a significantly larger number of cosplayers than previous events. Awacos this time saw a gathering of ninjas from "NARUTO -Naruto-" and "BORUTO-Naruto Next Generations-", Survey Corps members from "Attack on Titan," and characters from Studio Ghibli films. Characters from globally popular IP content, not limited to those featured in Nijigen no Mori's attractions, came together. Against the backdrop of Awaji Island's rich natural environment, it was a time for participants to express their "love" by freely embodying the worlds of their favorite works. Cosplayers who participated expressed their enjoyment and anticipation for future events, with comments such as, "I had so much fun at Shinrindo, I could have spent all day there," and "It was my first time at both Awacos and Nijigen no Mori, but I was very satisfied being able to enjoy cosplay while feeling the world of the series."

① Free Photo Shoot Service by Official World Cosplay Summit Photographers
This time, official event photographers held a free photo session in the lawn area and various themed zones within Nijigen no Mori. The photo data was delivered directly to participants' smartphones on-site, which was greatly appreciated by many.

② Commemorative Group Photo Session with Guest YouTuber "Handmade Kazoku"
"Handmade Kazoku," a popular YouTuber family of four known for crafting their own cosplay costumes, attended as a special guest. A commemorative group photo session with participants was held at Morino Terrace.

③ Collaborative Photoshoots with Attraction Areas
Nijigen no Mori features four permanent attractions and limited-time collaboration events. This year, two attractions, one during the day and one at night, were held in collaboration with the TV anime "Attack on Titan," and many Survey Corps members visited during Awacos. Collaborative photoshoots linked with Nijigen no Mori's attractions will continue to be held in future events.
