Fragoradd Kagoshima Announces New Cheerleading Team Ahead of SV League Participation

Field X Inc. (Headquarters: Hioke City, Kagoshima Prefecture; Representative: Yasuo Kozono), a subsidiary of Change Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO: Daisuke Furudome), which operates Fragoradd Kagoshima, announces the establishment of a new cheerleading team in conjunction with its participation in the Super Volleyball League (SV League). The cheerleaders will serve as a bridge between players and fans, enhancing the team’s new season experience at home games.

Member recruitment will begin on July 3, 2026, coinciding with the team’s launch.

Overview of Cheerleading Team Establishment

Fragoradd Kagoshima will launch its cheerleading team ahead of the 2026–2027 season starting in October 2026. Based primarily in Hioke City and Ichikikushikino City, Kagoshima Prefecture, the team will perform at home games, participate in local events, conduct PR activities, and engage in content creation via social media and video platforms.

Cheerleaders will energize players from the sidelines and deliver memorable experiences to all attendees.

As part of Fragoradd Kagoshima, they will contribute to the team’s success and elevate volleyball culture in Kagoshima.

Producer & Director

Yoko Yagishita has been appointed Producer, and Aoi Mikami as Director of the new cheerleading team.

Yoko Yagishita

With experience as a cheerleader for NFL and NBA teams, Yagishita founded the professional cheer dance team "Tokyo Girls" upon returning to Japan. As its representative, she has led team operations and training for over 16 years. She has produced and trained cheerleaders for professional sports teams including B.LEAGUE, and currently oversees cheer programs for multiple pro teams. She has also contributed to international volleyball events such as the FIVB World Championships, establishing herself as a key figure in sports entertainment.

For Fragoradd Kagoshima’s cheer team, she will lead overall concept development, branding, and operational management.

【Director】

Aoi Mikami

After winning national and U.S. national championships during her student years, Mikami served as a professional cheerleader for seven years. She performed with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars’ official performance team "diana" and the Yokohama Excellence cheer squad "ELEGANCE," and was a member of the 5th generation of "AKATSUKI VENUS®," the official cheer squad for Japan’s national basketball team.

With experience auditioning for NBA teams, she brings her technical expertise and expressive skills from competitive and professional sports to dance instruction and cheerleader development.

At Fragoradd Kagoshima, she will direct choreography, stage production, and talent development.

Team Name & Uniform

The cheer team’s name is "FRAGOLA WINGS." The name symbolizes how individual feathers come together to form a powerful wing, representing unity among players, fans, and the community as they soar toward the future.

The uniform, designed collaboratively by Producer Yoko Yagishita and Director Aoi Mikami, features the team colors orange and navy, embodying the concept of "Poise × Power" (grace and strength).

Inspired by Kagoshima’s vast skies, land, and sea, the design blends the cheerleaders’ vibrancy with the sophistication befitting the SV League stage.

Recruitment Details

Fragoradd Kagoshima will begin recruiting new members starting July 3, 2026. Applicants with cheerleading experience are welcome, as are beginners.

Number of Recruits:

Approximately 8–10 members

Eligibility:

Women aged 18 and over (high school graduates)

Requirements:

Ability to participate in activities within Kagoshima Prefecture; availability for rehearsals; alignment with team values and willingness to actively contribute; cheer or dance experience preferred but not required

About Fragoradd Kagoshima

Fragoradd Kagoshima is a volleyball club based in Kagoshima Prefecture, operated by Field X Inc. Based in Hioke City, the club has established sub-town agreements with eight local municipalities, actively addressing regional challenges through sports. The team made its debut in the 2023–24 V.LEAGUE DIVISION 3 season, winning both first participation and championship titles. In the 2024–25 season of the new V.LEAGUE, it became the inaugural champion. The club name combines "Fragola," Italian for "strawberry," with the Kagoshima dialect suffix "-ddo," symbolizing forward momentum and walking hand-in-hand with the local community.
