Solar Partners Co., Ltd., operator of 'Gaiheki Tosou Partners,' conducted an emergency survey with 196 painting contractors regarding material supply chains amid international tensions, including the situation in Iran. The results show that 77% of respondents are experiencing delays or difficulties in procurement. Specifically, 95.3% reported a shortage of thinner (diluent/cleaning agent), and 61.3% faced shortages of masking tape. While contractors are managing by increasing stock or using alternatives, 26.5% have had to consult clients about adjusting construction schedules. The survey highlights growing operational risks in the residential painting industry.
