ReoNa Performs at Animelo Summer Live 2026 "Messenger"

ReoNa, the 'despair-themed anisong singer,' performed on DAY3 (July 12) of Animelo Summer Live 2026 "Messenger," the world's largest anime song live event, held from July 10 to 12, 2026, at Makuhari Messe.

Animelo Summer Live (AniSama) has been held annually since 2005 and is recognized as the world's largest live concert event dedicated to anime songs. Each year, it brings together top artists representing the anisong scene, attracting fans not only from across Japan but also from around the globe, making it a beloved summer tradition.

ReoNa performed three songs: "forget-me-not" (ending theme for the TV anime *Sword Art Online: Alicization*), "Lv.1 Job: Human" (ending theme for the TV anime *Banished Reincarnated Heavy Knight Unleashes His Game Knowledge to Dominate*), and "Amore" (opening theme for the TV anime *I Want to Fall in Love Until You Die*).

The performance began with "forget-me-not," the ending theme from *Sword Art Online: Alicization*. As the intro played, the audience packed into Makuhari Messe erupted in cheers. ReoNa appeared on the center stage surrounded by her band, and as she began to sing, the energy in the venue surged instantly, enveloping the audience in the unique sense of unity that only Animelo Summer Live can deliver.

Next came "Lv.1 Job: Human," the ending theme for *Banished Reincarnated Heavy Knight*. As a special stage production for Animelo Summer Live 2026, the song made its live debut in a visually stunning performance that recreated the music video on stage. On stage, ReoNa sang alongside a long-haired "ReoNa" displayed on monitors, alternating vocals to create a surreal blend of reality and the anime's fictional world.

Additionally, child dancers who appeared in the music video, along with dancers mimicking the long-haired "ReoNa," joined the stage to perform the much-talked-about "cat dance" choreography. The synchronized performance between ReoNa and the dancers drew massive cheers from the audience.

Closing the set was "Amore," the opening theme for *I Want to Fall in Love Until You Die*. As ReoNa spoke the anime’s title, the crowd roared in excitement. With a heartfelt delivery—"Is there someone you long to see, so much that you can't bear it?"—she debuted "Amore" live, singing with a voice that blended delicacy and strength, accompanied by scenes from the anime. The audience was captivated, listening intently as the music filled the arena.

At the end of the performance, the venue was filled with thunderous applause and cheers, marking the conclusion of ReoNa’s special stage featuring the live debut of two new songs.
