Hana Hope's new song "Hearts Glow" has been selected as the ending theme for the July 2026 TV anime series "Goodbye Lara," with a digital release on July 22 and a CD single release on August 5.
"Goodbye Lara" is an original TV animation announced as the 15th-anniversary project of studio Kinema Citrus, known for producing popular anime such as "Made in Abyss," "My Happy Marriage," "The Rising of the Shield Hero," and "Revolutionary Girl Utena."
Based on the fairy tale "The Little Mermaid," the story follows Lara, a mermaid princess who awakens in Lake Biwa 200 years later. This marks the directorial debut of Takafumi Koide, who hails from Shiga Prefecture.
"Hearts Glow," selected as the ending theme, is an ambitious project produced by David Baron, known for his work with artists like Lana Del Rey, Shawn Mendes, and The Lumineers, and recorded in Woodstock, USA.
Featuring a band sound that begins with a quiet acoustic guitar and expands into a grand arrangement, the song is a deeply personal message from Hana Hope, who turned 20 this year and is currently studying in the US while maintaining dual bases in Japan and America. It expresses her desire to embrace her true self and celebrate individuality.
Hana Hope commented: "The title 'Hearts Glow' means 'the light of the heart.' The 'wild glow' mentioned in the lyrics refers to the unique, one-of-a-kind brilliance that each person possesses—something that may seem a little different from the outside world. Through this song, I realized that singing without hiding my true self is where I truly belong. This song is an important letter to everyone who is searching for their place, and to Lara-chan. Never let go of your light—your inner wild glow will surely connect with others as a beautiful hearts glow."
The third main PV for the anime, released today, features part of the song, allowing audiences to experience both the animation and music early.
Hana Hope recently performed "99 Steps feat. Kohjiya, Hana Hope," nominated for Best Hip-Hop/Rap Song at MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN, alongside STUS and Kohjiya at the Premiere Ceremony, drawing significant attention.
She is also confirmed to perform at major domestic summer festivals such as SUMMER SONIC 2026 and SWEET LOVE SHOWER, as well as international events including AFTER WORK FEST 2026 in Malaysia and LaLaLa Fest 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia, signaling her expanding global presence.
Coinciding with the release of the single "Hearts Glow," Hana Hope will hold solo live concerts titled "Hearts Glow" on August 7 (Hana no Hi) at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo and on August 27 at Osaka Music Club JANUS, further expanding her activities both domestically and internationally.

Hana Hope's Comment
The protagonist Lara in "Goodbye Lara" leaves the mermaid world and steps into the human world.
Growing up with dual nationalities, I've often felt, since childhood, that I didn't belong anywhere.
Both sides are important parts of me, yet sometimes I didn't fully fit into either world.
The song title "Hearts Glow" means "the light of the heart."
And "wild glow" in the lyrics refers to the unique, one-of-a-kind brilliance that each person possesses—something that may seem a little different from the outside world.
Through this song, I realized that singing without hiding my true self is where I truly belong.
This song is an important letter to everyone who is searching for their place, and to Lara-chan.
Never let go of your light—your inner wild glow will surely connect with others as a beautiful hearts glow.
